How much did you spend?.....

How much have you spent on your rig? More important than the total cost is how much have you spent on aftermarkte parts. I will get us started:

Purchase price: $5000
New seats: $350
Audio system: $1700
Window tint: $300
Front/rear bumper $400
Lots of other stuff...

Total of aftermarket stuff: $3,000
Grand Total: $8,000

I got screwed over besides the fact of already being upside down with my trade in (93 Nissan hardbody p/u)
Bought into the 4runner game at $11,400
Total mods & toys last added up to around $5700
My 4runner blue books at $5400
I wish I had done much of it differently. Shoulda went to the coast to get a late model 2nd gen that was the limited edition. for what I paid I could have got a nice one if I only took my time in shopping. one of lifes small mistakes.

Haha! Not a hockey fan I take it. Its actualy BLD BLU = Bleed Blue, the St. Louis Blues hockey slogan. The fact that those are Michigan plates and I had them when I lived in Detroit - Hockey Town RedWings city - makes it even more special. Redwings Suck!

I can just say i bout my truck in 2000 used for $25K. Over the past few years I must have spent $3K in aftermaket parts going on and off. Mostly in sounds and useless stuff that I find cool. Like the tornada i not longer use, the countless for lights I have stacked in the garage, the tons of grill mesh I take on and off the truck. But, I finnaly have direction now and have finshed most of the project that I wanted to.

Price of truck (new) $10,000
Engine: $1500
Blower & heads: $2000
EFI: $600
Rear axle: $1800
Cooling system: $400
Seats: $100
Tranny, tcase & adapters: $1600
Instrumentation: $400
Stereo: $300
Aux fuel tank: $150
Tires & wheels: $450
Odds'n'ends: ~$500

Total: $19,800 or almost double the original price. I'm sure I'm forgetting things and I left out items that were there but are not anymore. They'd probably add another $2-3000 to my total expense. I'm also not including the imminent front axle rebuild that I'm projecting to cost $600-750. I have no clue about maintenance expenses, how much would twenty years worth come to?

Just estimating here:
3 oil changes per year: 3×20×$20 = $1200
Tranny fluid changes (every year): 20×$25 = $500
Diff & tcase changes (every two years): 3×10×$10 = $300
Tune ups (every three years): 7×$100 = $700
So probably another $2700-3000 in maintenance
