You mean force it out of gear without using the clutch? Not me, I always use the clutch.

update: the final tally is 229191.7 miles on the origianl factory clutch. it didn't start slipping, but i did take it in to my mechanic because i'm going to be heading out to canyon lands and moab in a couple of weeks and didn't want any catatrosphes when i'm a couple hundred miles from home. anyway, my mechanic called me at work to let me know what needed to be done and everything, and his exact quote was: "um, yeah, i don't even know how you drove it here" so i guess the clutch was in quite bad shape.

My 84 Camry has 256,000 miles with the original clutch and works just fine-shifts better than my truck too.

My truck has 120K miles and I'm sure it has the original clutch.

It's very easy to do that, just tap the gas pedal and when letting of (the gas) the shifter will be very easy to put into neutral. I've tried that a couple of times, hell I've even shifter from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5th without the clutch, but it's just not that good to do in my opinion.

BTW my truck has 194,000 miles on the original motor, and what sucks is I have no idea if the clutch has been replaced or not. It feels good, but even with my old 31's it just wouldn't chirp 2nd gear, so I'm guessing that it's still stock.

On a side note, how is the TRD clutch/flywheel combo? Anybody have it?
