Thats true I just bought my 1" (wont go bigger) from WabFab $100 they are nice simple and easy to install. I never wanted a BL but after a trip to Tellico I need a bit more tire tuckability. I have the early SS setup with 1" top out in the front. I need the front bumper brackets to kill the gap btwn my truck and TJM. Overall I'm happy with it.

Than u most likely have spacers as they will suck up the ride a good deal. Especially if their 2.5 inches. It basically puts more pressure on the front coils and lifts the back without extending the coil. So you will get a crappy feeling ride. The spacers are usually metal and go on the top of the coil...maybe on the bottom of the rears (i'm not sure about hte back). You will be able to tell if they are there.

Also I just put on a OME 3" suspension lift from Toytec and when I took off the old shocks I noticed one of the front ones was completely busted out. I mean i could move it with one finger and it had no rebound watsoever. So look into the shocks too.

If your interested I got my lift for about 350 without shocks and it was well worth it. Big improvement over stock. The ride feels great. It is the 3" lift but i got a about 2 and a little change...

grimpy. I'll get back w you on the size.
Some spacer lifts are complete kits and will include new shocks or "extras" that you will usually need if you lift a vehicle. I saw some daystars that were like 400 and I was like whoa! But then I read in fine print that it included some kind of longer shocks and bushings....
