Hot Dipstick Handle - is this normal?
Let the jokes begin...
Seriously though, I never noticed this before (but this is the first time the weather has warmed up since I bought the 4R). I went to check my tranny fluid and almost burned myself on the lower part of the dipstick handle (the part of the orange coated handle that fits over the tube). The engine was warm after driving around (~20 miles) is this normal? BTW, the tranny fluid level was fine.

it shouldnt be boiling... but if the fluid condition is ok and its full its fine... really... you need t orealize that petroleum in an engine or a tranny gets hot.. probably around 200 degree for the tranny... and thats a lot hotter than human skin wants to touch....

Or...if you lay your arm ontop of the radiator right after driving. That sucks....
