HID(High Intensity Discharge) headlights
Hey everyone, just wanted to post a thread on my new HID bulbs i bought from burtmanindustries.com. They are incredible, not only does it make my truck look sweet, but it give off soo much light. They are rediculous! I have a couple examples. I was driving the other morning and i had my lights on. I could see my lights on the ground when i tunred them on an off, while the sun was out. Last night i drove down to this lake, and while turning around, my lights heads were aimed at the lake and i could see fish in the lake a few feet down. Yes, the lights are pretty pricey, and yes i was kind of nervous spending so mcuh on headlight bulbs, but when you get them installed, i feel its worth it. It also kinda of sounds like a bad deal that you dont get high beams, but you don't even need them. All in all these lights make your truck very noticeable while giving off more light. If you're thinkin about getting them or if you're just curious and want to check them out, visit burtman industries.com and enter in what kind of car you have. I got the 6000K for my 1997 4runner Ltd. There are 4 different colors to choose from.

Yeah, I wouldn't go with HID without a retro. It's illegal and it's easier to retro than to find the proper filters.
Also, I wouldn't wanna go without high beams. They come into so much handy. If more people used them properly there would be WAY less accidents on windy mountain roads.

No, i got the whole kit including the ballast and eveything else needed. Nothing else is needed(Install places tell you that you mite need to have relays. Not true) Sorry guys im working on the pictures. Im having troubles resizeing them so i can fit them on here. Ill try and get rite on that. Also, i have no idea what a retro is, but as far as HIDs being illegal, i know that in some cities, the law is that if they do not come in your car, you cannot have them. Omaha is a lil over 1 mil in population and there are a lot of police. Basically, the police do not care, here in omaha at least, and i guarentee you that i won;t get in trouble. Before i got my HID's i had green light bulbs in my clear corners and my clear bumpers and have been behind a few cops and drving towards a few cops. No problems. I guess its just your own judgement. The lights are sweet and i WILL get on those pictures. Sorry

I like my HIDs. Litght patterns are acceptable. I've had mine over a year and not a single person flashed me. When my friends drive in front of me I always ask if my lights are too bright, they dont have a problem with it. I used the casper shield things to somewhat correct light pattern tho. When I installed my HIDs, i've tried putting the bulb in without the shield....it was christmas..lights everywhere.

if you want to email the pictures to me, I can resize/post them. Just email them to fakemail4@mac.com. It sounds like a bogus address, i just use it to post online so I dont get as much junk mail in my main account!
