methinks you mean the factory one...you should be able to take it off with just a screwdriver. you take off the caps at the end of the rails, unscrew them then slide them off. the crossbars come of real easy too. you may need one of those funky star shaped screwdriver bits to unscrew it, i'm not sure...that comes to mind tho (it may just be the yakima roofrack i'm thinking of tho).

Easy,

Take off the cross bars. If you can't figure that out...

From there, you'll need a #24 torx bit. Unscrew all the torx screws about halfway which will relieve the tension off the front and rear end caps. Gently pry off the end caps w/ a flat bladed screwdriver. Then you can unscrew off the torx screws and lift the whole thing off.

wow, i'm impressed. you know, i could have said all that, but i wanted the guy to have to figure SOMETHING out on his own
