im trying to take the alternator out and all i have left is the grey conecter to remove and it wont come out i know theres a tab on it but i cant get it out. is there a certain way to get it out?? please i need help asap. pics of removal would help me.

 

push tab in and pull, have u had a problem with it over heating or something could of melted the plastic a little so might need to pry slightly on it.

 

is it possible to take the alt out of the bracket and turn it a little to reach the connector a little better? Should be enough slack on the wire I would think, but not familiar with those engines. Just throwing that out there.

 

i had the same problem when i changed my motor they left the latenator wires connected ane ripped the wires off so i went to the junkyard to get another plug and reconnect the wires but the plug prob took me tens mins of hell to get it off it was just stuck in there well frim time and debree find a cleaner safe in it spray in wiggel around and then push down and pry it will come

 

the problem is theres nothing really to pry to and its 25 out so i dont know if that makes a difference.

25 out? You must be in Bennington, we haven't hit more than 15 all day in Mt Holly.

 

im near rutland but it hasent been above 25 sense it snowed on monday or tuesday but its nice, i like it when its cold out.
