Help need brake pads for Brembo rotors

So I went to get PF pads for my Brembo rotors that are going in this weekend. Autozone was out of the famous Performance Friction pads (cat # 5024). Since I have to go on a trip soon I would like to still get the brakes fixed. So what are good alternatives to the PF pads? Hawks or Trd pads? others and where to get them (not online)?
Thanks

I have Hawk PF pads with my powerslot rotors and they work great, I recommend them.

I'd go with EBC pads, I ordered them for my truck but haven't had a chance to put them in yet. My dad has them on his Maxima and they are incredible (i know diff pads, diff vehicle but same company heard alot of good about them too)

Are all of the autozone's out of them? Or just that location? I'd be willing to bet you could go to another autozone nearby and get them. I've got like 3 autozone's within a 20 mile radius of my house.

By the way, part # 5024 is for the 96 landcruiser. The pads will fit the 4runner too. However, now there's a part # for the 4runners. It's part # 4364 performance friction.

So... see if they have that part #.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the input guys

I did ask for the 5024 for a landcruiser, who knows maybe it doesn't exist under that cat# anymore. He did check around in the other Autozones around here.

Peter,
Thanks for the offer. I am bringing it to shop tomorrow anyway for a rear diff seal replacement. They will do the job since I am not 100% sure I know how to do it or have the proper tools. I was thinking of doing the job myself, but work is crazy these days and my pregnant wife is not too frilled of me fixing brakes either!

BTW - the shop (not toyota) will supply brake pads. They said they are the ones Toyota puts in when there is a warrenty issue! So toyota doesn't want to fess up to something??

Carsten,

I read up on a couple write-ups on customtacos and had a friend (ASE certified) who showed me some 10 years ago. It's actually not that hard. I think the daunting thing about it is the fact that it's your brakes

What about part # 4364? Those are the exact same pads as 5024 except the part # is actually for a 4runner.

I went and got the TRD carbon metalic pads for my brembos, I got them cheap, somthing like $30 here in hawaii. I have some pads i got from wheelers offroad im gonna give a try. I would buy the performance friction pads but we dont have a autozone here in hawaii far as I know. But strangley they run the comericals on the radio. But then again they run all kinds of comericals for restarunts that we dont have here, even stores

I have a set of Brembo drilled/slotted rotors and a set of EBC pads I'm still waiting to install. The '83 gets pulled out of the garage Tuesday, maybe I'll tackle the job next weekend.

Got my new rotors on, put on regular toyota pads. Man nice not to have those bumpy rotors anymore.

Unfortunately there was a little sidenote of getting the thirdmember/diff seal repaired while at it. Oh well, will try not drag the diff on the rocks.

My Brembo's arent slotted but I have the PBR Metal Masters pads on them and they stop really well with minimal dust. alot of autocross guys use them.
