help my truck wont STAY running

HI EVERYONE I HAVE A 88 TOY 4RUNNER. 4X4 4CYL 2.4 LITER AUTO. I WAS DRIVING IT TODAT WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE TRUCK DIED. IT WILL START BUT IF I PUSH ON GAS IT WILL DIE. IT WILL ALSO DIE AFTER TWO OR THREE SECS AT IDLE. I HAVE FUEL PRESSUREA AND JUST REPLACED FUEL FILTER. WHAT COULD THIS BE THANKS.

vacuum leak perhaps...when I did my headgasket my friend and I were mystified as to why my truck would run for ~3 seconds and then die. Turned out we missed a vacuum line.

sorry about the caps on

i get code 14 and 21. bad igu(ignition control module) and bad o2 sensor. i put in used distributer from junk yard and it now runs. however i noticed that my truck is missing the o2 sensor or it is not where it should be( mounted too exsaust manifold). i will sen a pic of where it should be. i also have a vacuum tube that used too go somewhere that is now going nowhere. i cant figure out where it goes. i will post pics asap thanks

What year is your truck? that makes a difference where your o2 sensor is. It is either under the heat sheild, or there is one before the catalytic converter and one after. The pictures are hard to see, but the missing wire one looks like it has something to do with cruse control. I cant make out much out in the picture in regards to the vacume hose.
