Ok, bare with me on this discription; it wont be the best. So, I having this noise/feeling in my 98 when first start it up and turn the wheel. It always occurs just then and never again or until the next time I turn her back on and turn the wheel. I dont even have to turn the wheel that much for it to occur either. The sound is like a creeking noise, like my front coils being caught on something. There is a slight rumble I can feel every time this noise occurs. It definitly feels like its coming from the the front end. I'm sorry if I cannot explain this any better, but I'm hoping someone else has had this problem before. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

Does it growl with the wheel turned? Maybe power steering pump resavoir is low?

 

No, its less of growl, but more of clank clank clank. I believe theres about 3 or 4 of them then it stops for the remaining duration of the drive.
