Hella E-codes and High Efficiency Bulbs installed

I finally got my new headlight setup installed. I bought the Hella E-code lamps and High Efficiency bulbs from Daniel Stern lighting. Here's a few pics:

Here's a pic of the box they came in. I especially like the disclaimer :

A picture of one of the bulbs. I wiped down each of them with rubbing alcohol to make sure no oils were on them:

Here's a picture of the lamps and the silicone dust seal:

And finally, a pic of them in action. This pic shows the high beams... the one on the left in the pic is the Hella and the one on the right is the stocker. I didn't post the lows because you can't really tell the difference just by looking at the pic. But at nighttime, the difference is clearly there.

Let me also add that I'm running the lights using my stock wiring harness for now, because my poor stock alternator and battery aren't up to the task of the high current draws of everything else I have hooked up, plus the lights. But I'll have an Optima Yellow Top and 140 amp alternator on their way shortly, so I'll have more light output then. I just hope it's not too much, as I was worried about blinding drivers with my low beams... but nobody flashed me so I guess I'm ok. All in all, I love these lights!!!!

Go for it! You won't regret it. It would also be cool if you could compare them to the PIAA's you have now.

From that pic, I know where you are now...............ha ha!

Go out Oak Grove road tonight or 4th Street extension.....go when it real dark and blast your new head lights (high beam) and watch what happens to reflective road signs, you can read them for the glare! Well you can read them once you get about 10 yeards from them but other wise they are just big reflections in your eyes.

Did you get your stuff?

Maybe we can install your rotors and bearings next weekend.......going offshore fishing tomorrow through Sunday.........!

They are basicaly the same thing, only the E codes are not DOT approved, thus you can get ticketed if the law really wanted to press it.

They don't have the nubs on them for the aiming machines, and there might be a few other diffs too.
Best thing to do is contact DS lighting and ask him the diff on them.
