Headlight glass

I busted out the glass in one of my headlights during an accident. My Warn guard protected my rig for the most part, but the glass didn't make it. I've been to a couple of the autoparts stores in the area and they all only sell it as the entire light housing for about $125. Anyone happen to know where I can just get the glass? Or a cheaper place for the houseing and all?? Thanks

glass is warmed glued to the assembly, not a seperate item. kinda spackled in there.

. you'll need to visit a junkyard for your part or pay up

You didn't mention which headlight glass broke, but if you need the driver side, here's one for sale:

It's very rare to find anyone selling just the glass. If you don't end up finding what you need, check ebay for the entire light assy...sometimes they go pretty cheap.

Cool . I was surprised to see someone actually post just the glass for sale when I first say that ad. It got me thinking, "no one is going to need just the glass", but then you post a thread just days later requesting that very thing. Hope it works out for you.

I was referring to finding oem lights on ebay...not the lesser quality aftermarket ones. I purchased 2 flawless oem headlights seperately off ebay a while back and got them both for under a $100 total.

What side do you need? I still have a single OEM from my 98 but then again I can't remember which one I have left, I sold one to Rockslide! Kinda ironic, so let me know which side you need as it may be the one I still have. If it will work for you then PM me. Happy to help out another 4runner needin a light!

Ritz, in post # 4, I take it he needs the driver side glass. (Plus he even posted a comment in that 'glass for sale' thread.) And if that's the one he needs, that's also the one you sold me! Good looking out though.

Does anyone know a good way to remove/ replace just the glass? I have a light with a small hole in it, and I have the replacement headlight assembly, but the light socket on the replacement one is broken. If I can get the glass off of both, it'd make a great replacement..........but HOW to do this??? Thanks.

Put the housing in the oven at 350 for about 7 or 8 mins. Then gently pry apart with putty knife. I have done this several times building HID projector mods.
