The install insructions that came with the cam (22re) said to replace the rockers. I did, that way your new cam is breaking in on new rockers

Collector design is the single most important feature of a header. A cheap junk unit like Pacesetter will have the manifold tubes crimped down into a "collector". These units may flow better then a stock manifold, but not always. A good designed collector will be rather long and have the pipes join it without any crimping, and the gas flow will clearly be smooth.

The stock 22RE manifold is a very good example of a tri-y type header. Its biggest downfall is that it is a small diameter at the base.

The rest of the stuff about ceramic coatings, stainless steel, etc. is all fluff as far as power is concerned. It does matter to life of the header, and for bling.

NX_Tacoma had cam regrinds installed in his 3.4. I dont think he was too happy with them. I cant remember though.

Install will be really fun on the 5VZ.

I installed a cam on my 95 Civic SI and it was pretty easy - even with VTEC.

A multicam V6 - now that's a different story.

Hey Christian;

Yeah, I started another thread yesterday specifically asking about cams... In short, I'm no longer interested. It sounds like cams are a good idea on 3.0's and 2.2's, but they're not worth the $$$ on the 3.4's.

Thanks!

I think we both just need to get the SC and UDR kit and be done with it!
