Headers, Sorry!

Hey dudes, my 3.4 Taco's engine blew a head gasket at 300,XXX miles so I am dropping in a junkyard 3.4 with only 50k miles on it soon, already bought it and am prepping it for the install, I'm gonna put headers on the new engine, and want the Jardine/Doug Thorley 3.4 headers since I already have the cat back and can't find them anywhere, anyone know where I can get them headers, or at least some stainless steel headers for a 3.4?

Downeyoff-road.com and Lcengineering.com are the way to go for sure. I would highly recommend LC because of the extensive testing they have done on their headers based on the heated debate in various designs employed by other vendors. I have also done some extensive research on cost differences and the Doug Thorley's are almost twice as much as a Downey or LC set.

The downey headers are not that much cheaper considering they don't come with crossover pipes. Coming from someone with the leaky TRD headers, this is something to make sure you do correctly the first time. There was a flaw in the design with the TRDs that didn't allow for proper engine movement which leads to the crossover pipe leaking. The Doug Thorley (the producers of TRD's original design) saw this problem and redesigned them so they are easier to install and got rid of the weak joint. I looked on LC's site and maybe I'm missing something but unless you have an 01-04 Taco all of their headers (JBA) seem to be about the same as the Throley headers... Am I missing something? I'm on the market for some new ones as well...
