I was driving home witht my lights on and the 4runner started making a wierd clicking noise coming from the left hand side of the instrument panel. I shut off the lights and it went away.
But I got it home now when I turn the car off the light will come back on when i open the door. If i leave the door closed and wait with the lights of they will come back on after a short period of time. I have no idea what to do I have the headlight relay out just so my battery wont die

Sounds like the opposite of what my drl would do. Not sure if you have drl but my lights would stay on for a couple of seconds after I shut off the engine and then turn off. Maybe your drl relay is messed up?
