head gasket

If the service procedure calls for torque-to-yield head bolts it's best to use new ones to avoid sealing issues with the new gasket...among other variables. Old ones generally will not have the same strength as before installation and are reportedly single use only.

Oil like on a pcv at the crankcase, ok, but at the throttle, not really good. Quite the job you got there. Probably have somebody there where you're at take a look. Be your best bet than on a forum for Toyota's. Can at least hook up a scan tool on that 08 and check for codes. Can help narrow it down. Good luck.
