My 4runner has no airco and a guy who lives half an hour away is parting out a '97 4runner. He said I can have the compressor and other pieces under the hood for $50. He also said that the under dash part might be cracked. I can have it with the compressor for free. Toyota told me that it is a $1500 dollar kit to add airco and that it is $350 labour. I figure that it cannot be too much work for that labour. Those prices are in Canadian dollars by the way.
I will pick up the pieces he has and buy the rest from the boneyard as required.
I am hoping somebody else went through this and can give me a heads up on the pieces I'll need.
