i was thinking about maybe line-xing or rhino lining the bottom half of my truck..the idea taken from a previous thread.

i helped a family member paint his F250 this winter....painted the truck white, then basically what you want to do....we got some black Rock Guard Spray (spray can) taped off the area to be sprayed and sprayed 3 coats on it. looks great, and its like 5 bucks a can or something like that.

Bed liner type sprays weigh a ton if you apply enough for it to serve its purpose...I just rattle canned my rig...cheap, easy to redo if it gets scratched and cheap...did I mention it was cheap?

I Herculined everything below the body line on my 4Runner, as well as the front valence under the bumper. So far I havent gotten any more rock chips on my doors or valence and it was relatively cheap ($25 for a quart can). Very good stuff.

You saw my pics of my 4runner in the other thread you started. When I called around, the line-x dealer was a tad cheaper than a couple of places doing Rhino liner. Nonetheless its expensive to do.
The Rhino liner places quoted me 3 days to complete, ... the line-x said half a day. Ummm... the Rhino guys were very hesitant to put it on any surface that was fairly vertical i.e., my rocker panels.
A year later, my line-x looks brand new, and it has served its purpose big time. I was getting to many rock chips all along the sides of my truck (I commute far).
