I couldn't see the picture, but it sounds like a good deal to me. When I bought my '91 around this time last year, I paid $8500 for it, and it had something like 140k miles. So i'd say that's it's a good deal, especially if nothing is seriously wrong with it. I'd go for it for $12,500 in my opinion that sounds like one hell of a deal.

Seems like a good deal. You should check a few things first. Write down the VIN #, get on line and see if has been in any accidents.
Of course, slide underneath and check out if it has been offroaded much. Toyotas hold up pretty well, but still.
You also might want to hold out for something that has some of the mods that you are going to put on it anyway. Just a lift is going to cost you quite a bit.
Are you going to use it offroading, or is it just to look pretty?
Depending on how rich you are you might want to go for a 1st generation 4Runner-- for the solid axle...Because I promise you you will get to that point in modifications--and conversions aint cheap!!
Good Luck!

I would say that is a good price. What I do, is pick the truck up for a test drive and take it to the mechanic. Let him look over it and see what they think. It sounds to me that if it is in good condition, the price it right! I would go for it. Toyota is a very good line of vehicles and the 4Runner is like the flagship (so to speak). You will not go wrong with it. It is going to be very reliable and give you no problems. But take it to the mechanic and see what they say first. :fireman:

If you want a carfax, you gotta pay, like 20 bucks or something. The info might be useful or useless...It's up to you whether you want to pay for a carfax.
Hey, if your going to have a mechanic check it out anyway, screw it... If not do it.
Maybe the salesman would be willing to pay for it if you tell him "If it's clean, I'll buy it." Hey, it's worth a try.
Good Luck!
