Good Deal?

I found a 1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited with 62,000 miles on it and the seller is asking $15,000 dollars.

It is a dealer and they are willing to replace the bumper (has a dent in it), a little bit of rust under the rear bumper/door, they will fix that, and will throw on new front rotors/pads.

I think I can get it for like $14,000 out the door. Is this a good deal?

For reference's sake, I pruchased my 98 4runner SR5 with mid 50k miles for $14,500. That was 2 yrs ago.

I'd check KBB, NADA (black) and ...err..forgetting something.

That sounds a little high, esp. in less than near perfect condition. If it has some rust starting already I'd be leary. There was a 98 or 99 ltd loaded, w/factory locker here that I test drove. Had a little higher miles, like 90k but nothing other than a few light scuffs in the painted trim that I last saw listed at $13k.

My personal thought on used 4runners is that miles don't scare me, I was looking for the cleanest I could find inside & out.

It seems a little high. I just paid $18k for my 2001 limited with 54k miles. I think you can get a little better deal.
