Question Oil type for rebuilt 3.0

I know this has been discussed many time before, but I could not find any threads on it when I searched. All I wanna know is:

What oil would you suggest to use in an engine that has not seen oil since a rebuild?

I would like to use a synthetic from here on out (I wont be getting amsoil, but anything else will do). Can I start with the synthetic right off the bat?

Do not start with syn from the start. It will not allow the rings to break in properly!!

Go with regular old Valvoline 10w30 dyno oil. I recommend going 1-2k miles then changing it again with the dyno oil. Then when you reack 5k or so, make the switch to syn.

I Am A Huge Fan Of Mobil Products. I Would Break It In W/ Mobil Drive Clean 10w30 And Then Switch To Mobil-one 5w30 Synthetic.
Just My Two Sense (duh-huh)

Mobil One is my likely final prodyct, but I would also go for Castrol Synthetic.

I am now more interested in this breaking in process...
As much advice as this place could provide would be good!!!

Myth: You should break in your engine with conventional oil, then switch to Mobil 1.
Fact: You can start using Mobil 1 with SuperSyn™ in new vehicles at any time, even in brand-new vehicles

I've always gone w/Valvoline 10 - 40 or 20 -50, on my '88 3.0 I got 175,000 miles using that, on this one before the rebuild I got 297,000 before the HG leaked, Maybe it's the oil, I believe so!
