good deal on 2001 sr5 sport??

well, my fiance just bought an 01 sr5 sport with 72,000 miles
silver with color coded fenderflares and bumpers. pw dl, moonroof, auto 4wd, brushguard, cloth seats, ventvisors for the windows and hood, roofrack, towing package and running boards.
basically a limited w/o leather.
got it for 14,700 plus tax and tags at a toyota dealer in nj

it runs well, no dents or dings. only a few minor scratches that will buff out, drives straight stops well pulls out well, but i will have to grease the back end to get the thump noise to stop. our avg mpg is around 17-18, not too bad but about the same as our rl

yea, thats a good deal... thats about what you should pay for a 'good price'. though dealers here list such a runner at around 16-18K easily.

Good deal. I would buy it had the opportunity come by. Here in Orange County i couldn't find a nice one around 14k without a few problems with it. And with the dealer you should have gotten a nice little warranty. Good bye-beautifull vehicle

That's a great deal. Out here that thing would probably command close to $20K or at least 17-18 from a dealer and no less that 14-15 from a private party.

Back in late 2001 I paid almost 13K for my 1996 with 115K miles on it!

I paid $13.5 for my '99 and mine had 84k on it but it did have a couple goodies I didn't have to take care of like limo tint all around, bigger tires and a Load Warrior basket plus it was a non-smokers vehicle which was important to me.

Probably more than that. When I was shopping for a 4runner I was seeing '99's here in Colorado for around 15K and they were less equipped than the one you are describing. I finally went to Ebay and got one in Houston for way less than the same truck would cost here in Denver. Supply and Demand I guess. The other thing, I didn't want one with running boards and fender flares and they are hard to find that way. Anyway, sounds like a good deal as long as there is no issues with rust. . . you know NJ uses salt on the roads. Probably not a big deal though since it is still pretty new.
