Talking Diff drop

Dude, those CV angles look a bit harsh. I'd recommend getting a diff drop A.S.A.P. as I got about 3" suspension lift on mine and with my diff drop they look like this now:

Diff drop dude!

Diff drop dude!

Yes, I totally agree, but... that is with the diff drop
I just saw your post re: your writeups (cool writeups!) and saw your pics with your CV angles... they're almost flat. What did I do different/wrong?

New shoes!

Now with the lift, I can finally fit some big meats in the wheel wells. Went to Les Schwab yesterday and got some 285/75R16 WC TXR's:

Drove about 200 miles today on them, feels kind of like those vibrating chairs... I've always wanted one of those The Bilsteins performed great as well; my fiance no longer complains about the "rocking boat" feeling from the old stock shocks (I have almost 100K miles). Can't wait to hit the trails

Went to a restaurant and managed to get a seat which has a great view of the parking lot. She noticed I kept looking out the window a lot more often than usual I asked her what she thought of the new look; she said "sexy"

I'm gonna need a chiropractor soon to look at my neck strain...

Now if I can just figure out what's up with my CV angles...

3" lift kit is the problem, you don't want to run more than 2 1/2" of lift.........

Dang... now I have to take off the top spacer, or get an ARB + winch to weigh it down...

Question

I just did the same lift and it drives like stock. Maybe you could start a new thread specifically about the CV angles. I'm assuming you used the Revtek kit and from what I've read here it corrects the CV angles just fine. Maybe the vibration is from the tires? Anyway, your truck looks even better with the tires.

Diff drop dude!

I don't think there's any way that you could have 3" of lift with CVs that are almost straight. There's no way that you could even drop the diff enough to make the CVs that straight without a bracket like the 4" kits have.

I have the RevTek 3" kit in the front of mine. It actually only gave me 2.5" of lift. I also did a 1" diff drop and my CVs look like Ken's in his picture. I don't think his are at too extreme of an angle, it's just that with the boots touching they will wear out sooner. Such is the price of lifting our 4Runners without manual hubs.
