Im a newbie in the yota forum. I ventured over from the ford forums lol. Anyways, i have a 98 2wd taco and i wanna swap a 4.3 in it. Ive searched and seem them done in 4wds but not 2wds. Now i know anythings possible with money and skill, but can it be done just as easy in a 2wd?

 

If it was done in a 4wd, you can do it in a 2wd. May even be easier since there is less stuff to mess with.

What I don't know is why you would want to swap in a 4.3l when a 5vz swap is a piece of cake and bolts in, is WAY WAY WAY more reliable and can make just as much or more power.

If you have a 4banger to start out with then turbo it if you want more power, can get as much power as you want. If you have a 5vz and want more power supercharge it.
