so again to reiterate: you'd have to "break" alot of things and then buy thousands of dollars worth of mods to get close to your goal. just be happy you inherited a nice vehicle at such a young age.

bob is right, so are a lot of you. and 4runner 2001 is 183 HP . with super charger. im looking at +75, then once i get my intake, headers, exhaust. +20 ....im looking at 278.00.......... i will also gut everything on the inside and outside, take out spare tire. and then get notrous. you guys will be like " wtf omg, my vtec didnt kick in" or omg wtf my corvette is slow, im gonna buy a ferrari now."

btw, that 4runner by endless that almost beat the corvette , took out a camaro z28 2000.

Well, he's entitled to do what he wants to his runner...
I just hope he isn't driving on the same road as me or someone I care about when he uses the NOS and starts losing control.

what is it with "owning: other vehicles. I have an S/C and yes my truck is fast, but so what. If you want to race a 4r, then go for it. If you are seekign advice about specific upgrades, then great. However, it seems more like trying to add as many typical bolt-on mods to go fast for a second in a straight line.

what do u mean? it will only drop down to a second 1/4 mile?

like right now, when i drive it and floor it, it doesnt like have throtle until after maybe i hold it for about 1 second then it just jumps forward.

it i got all that stuff installed, sc, headers, exhaust, intake.....will it like jump forward like a m3?

im using m3 for example because i drove one of those and it launches very fast.

need an idea if those mods will do the same, please help guys

It will launch faster, but its a truck, so it'll still be slow.

hey bro,
It must be pretty awesome that you now have the trd s/c in your possesion and your probally going though this mod high. I know how you feel, ive spent countless hours of researching and working on my taco. The best I can give to you is to slow down and do your research. Youll find out that youll be able to create more hp "SAFELY" and "RELIABLY". THe last thing you want to do is spend 3k on mods just to have your engine break and have to spend another 1.5k to replace the block. ( my friend had a taco on nos and dynoed 315 to the rear wheels and blew his intake manifold gasket, totally lucked out )

Feel free to PM me or ask me any questions, thats why we are all here, to help each other out

the s/c by itself runs way to lean, adding more fuel with an array of fuel mods will definately increase your overall hp output with the s/c... take a look at my sig and hit me with your questions

yongxing,

Have you tried taking a look at t4r.org?
They might be a better fit for what you're planning on doing with your 4runner.

hey , i have heard from you guys that trd exhaust crack? should i just install my supercharger and worry about exhaust/headers later? because i kinda want it all at same time, but do you think i will notice a difference in power if i just had the supercharger and no aftermarket headers/exhaust? thanks

you will definately notice a difference, even without headers and an exhaust system. to tell you the truth, i opted not to replace my headers at the time because i was very happy with the low end torque i was generating with just a catback exhayst system
