General Question?

What are these ATS upper contol arms that people seem to be running after lifts? And would this help with a slight tire rubbing issue that I'm having?

Hi there, probably not...what they will do is correct your ball joint angles and help your CV angles somewhat. They will also assist in the allignment of your vehicle. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I don't run them, so I may be wrong here... but don't they also give a slightly wider stance... pushing the wheels out a little? If so, could that help if he rubs the inside of his tires?

they do push out the front tires, but the rubbing might be worse after that, it depends on where he is rubbing.

STUMP: if its on the control arms, you wont rub there anymore, but maybe on the outside fenders b/c of the wider stance. if youre only having "slight rubbing" either pound on that with a BFH or get out the dremel.

So are you suggesting that I shave away at my upper A arms? It onlyseems to rub at really random times. When nothing beyond the ordinary is happening. I dunno what to make of it, I really don't like the sound or feel of things when it is happening. I know it as to be rubbing the A-arms because the tires are only but about 1\4" or so away from the upper arms. Help me out if you can further as to how to correct this issue.

i have shaved 4mm off my a-arms and now i only rub the left side at full turn and at full extension (off-road only).

How exactly do I go about shaving my A-arms like that. Is this something better left to a pofessional. I do have a good mechanic if nesasarry.

u can use or a grinding wheel, a drill, or a dremel, ive used all of em.
