I know if I am to regear I need two sets, but are they the same part? I have an 85 with the SFA, so do I just need to get two sets of gears for a Yota 8" axle? Or do I have a 7.5" in the front with the solid front axle?

 

:pat: Just tell them what you have and let them look it up in the suppliers parts book. (Except 4WP - they will screw it up...)

But basically yes, the front and rears on the 85 are the same - you can swap the third members! But don't make the mistake of just trying to order 2 sets of 8" gears, there might be some years that have different 8" from your years' 8". (For example newer Landcruiser fronts are 8" and are NOT the same...)
