Gauging Interest on pocket style Bushwackers
I recently gained a sponsorship with Bushwacker, Inc and I've sent word to their engineering department concerning pocket style flares for the third gen; I may get a prototype made of them instead of the regular if the molding for mind isn't too far along. In the meantime I wanted to see how much, if any, interest there was in these pocket-style flares. Picture on a Chevrolet for basic reference
Anything specific you'd like to see if some were to be created? Thanks for the input.

When I was looking for fender flares that's exactly what I wanted to find! I was really bummed to learn that Bushwacker didn't make them for 3rd gens! Tell Bushwacker to get on it!!!

Tools of the trade, they were interested in my pitch and our sights have aligned since. If things work out as expected I should have secured another by next week.
phildelfino, apologies but this is only for the 3rd generation 4runners. I want to say they made a pocket set for 1st gens...you may want to do some research

Thanks for the clarification. I have checked in the past and either did not find them or did not do it right, something. Got it now. Thanks again.

I'm interested depending on how long until they are released. I'll have to pick up their regular ones in a couple of months if the pocket flares aren't available by then...

way to go MillerPKA --Congrats on the sponsorship deal-we need Bushwacker friends in high places!
personally I don't like the look of the exposed fake bolt heads like that style uses- but it is always good to have more options.
I finally got my Bushw Extend a Fenders mounted just recently-pics on my signature link- and if anyone needs the bumper cap extensions I am basically giving them away over in Marketplace.
I was pretty stunned to see what I was paying for when I bought Bushwackers-at first I just kind of scratched my arse saying " all that $$ for a bunch of plastic?"
so I finally buckled down and had a professional install them and it was well worth it to have them done and fit the angles of the rear door properly. The way the rear doors intrude into the wheel well-frankly I could have screwed my door panels up big time attempting that myself.
They really are professionally engineered for each variation of vehicle. The way they flare out up front they almost form built in mudflaps. Very ingenious company.
