I guess these are the cut out flares,, It has been a day or two since I put them on and cant remember for sure, but it kinda gives you an ideal of what they might look like installed

Definitely count me in. I've been waiting for these to come out for the 3rd gen. The extend-a-flares don't cover enough tire for me to be completely legal here.

I did receive the flares but they were the regular extend-a-fenders. I chatted with my contact there and told her there was significant enough interest to develop some and she said she forwarded my email to the other department so they could look it over....my guess is if there is anything to update it would be on their site. If you can get a small benchmark number (10, maybe 20) dedicated to order I may be able to use that and send her a more bearing request. Otherwise if you decide on the existing flares just shoot me an email and I'll help you out.

Thanks!

I would love a set for my 3rd gen. Need to cover up the exposed tire and help keep my paint from being trashed. How much are these running?

I'm 100% in for Pocket Style Bushwakers for 3rd Gen (in my case 2001 Limited).

BTW, knowing your close relationship to bushwaker, could you push them on developing Pocket Style for 4th Gen. I tried to push them, but no luck so far. There was a discussion on another forum dedicated to 4th Gen. and I remember that we had ~10-15 "for sure wills" for them. May be our problem was that we all try to make indivisual request for 4th Gen fenders. May be you can push those ones as well...
If you need any details, PM me and I'll try to get as much as possible information on that.

I just sent them an email and mentioned the rising interest in the pocket styles for 3rd gens. I will ask them about 4th gens when I hear back from them. Since you come from that crowd perhaps you can get me a number that have interest with intent of purchasing for the 4th gen pocket style. That way it will have more weight when I bring it up.

Oddjob and phildelfino, I've sent them word about your orders and I will get a price back today most likely. I also pitched to them a forum member discount. There are many details to work out in that if they approve it but if you have been interested in getting a set your best time to buy may be soon.

I e-mailed them last night and here was their prompt response :

" I have a '98 Toyota 4Runner running 35" tires on 17x9" wheels and I am looking for a flare with a lot more coverage than what you currently have available to me. My question is will the "pocket style" or "cut out" flare ever be available for my vehicle? Thanks."

"Thank you for your interest in Bushwacker products. We do not have anything in the works for Pocket-Style or Cut-Outs for your application. There may be another manufacturer who produces these flares and we would recommend a search online. Thank you again for your inquiry."

Sincerely,
Joey Cambria
