What is the status of that 800hp 4Runner that you and F2üning were working on? I would LOVE to see what kind of performance you are getting out of it. Talk about eating up Corvettes and Mustangs!

That thing looks scary!

Gadget said he had some "seepage" through the intake manifold (i think) at 28 lbs of boost, and they were still working on it. Thats all Ive really heard.

Don't know about the big monster, but the baby URD turbo monster is alive and well.

that thing is crazy. Ive been wondering why more people haven't been turboing 4runners... seemed to make sense to me, but then again I'm still learning about these things. But what i do know is i want it!

Most folks have grown up thinking "supercharger" for our trucks instead of turbo. Turbo's have gotten a bad name around here 'cause of the lag and trying to make use of the additional power on the trail (i.e., low speed) is difficult. But, it's a lot easier to push more boost out of a turbo than an S/C, hence Gadget (and others) working down that line.

Tour4fun,
I will rarely offroad my 2wd 4Runner, however I am VERY interested in turboing mine for my daily use. Do you have any idea what it would cost to put in a modest turbo on my 3.4l engine?

Plus TRD and URD have made installing a Supercharger on the 3.4 pretty simple and very safe.
