Fuses

Hey ppl,

My headlight fuse keeps blowing on me. I am pretty sure it is a 10 amp fuse I have tried replacing it with a 15 amp but that doesn't seem to cut it. It looks like everything around the fuse is plastic and it doesn't look like it is grounding out on anything. Any idea on what makes them blow so rapidly.

Like I would put in a new fuse and it would work for about a mile before it went to shiat on me and popped leaving me without headlights about a mile or so from my house. I am gonna go see if there is any bare wire in the headlights that could be grounding off on something. Till then comments are very appreciated. Thanks-Sampson

Looks like you will have to be tracing some wires backwards. You know for sure you have a short to ground since you keep blowing fuses. If you can get and eletrical schematic then trace where it leads to then check the condition of the wires, its grounded somewhere between the power supply to the bulb itself so that eliminates some.

Thanks bro

Hey man just found a spot where it had managed to wedge itself into a little rustspot under the battery holder. Patched it up with some electrical wire and I think that did it. I'm gonna go take it for a test drive really quick and see what happens. Its already dark though so lets hope I get lucky and that was it. I'll let you know. Thanks for the post-Sampson
