You's also have to reroute the exhaust and fuel systems. The two engines are set up opposite each other. Not impossible by any means, but it does mean a bit of custom work.

Well JoeZ, no offence to the carb gods, I just can't stand them
I've always related carbs to dinosaurs. But I'll give you credit, Toyota carbs aren't q-jets and they do work well. I am just all for fuel injection.
Yoda, I can't post the pic, but it does have the round air cleaner
I just really like this truck, so I might just have to suck it up a bit and wheel the toyasaurus with the ancient carb. But just til I find a efi donor truck
I woulda been lost with out finding this site and all your guys help.
Soon as I get the truck, maybe I can figure out how to post a picture and show you what all the fuss is about

Ok, i just wanted to make sure you werent ruling out a toyota carb just because of Q-jet experiences.

Efi is definately a plus, but it was never something that I myself was going to go out of my way to swap in when my carb was so well tuned. But that was just my personal preference, i would have liked EFI, but i never saw a reason to swap it in. If you are dead set on EFI, you could always just swap it in. And just wheel the carb until you get all the parts collected. Or you could be really sneaky and pick up a 2wd with EFI, exchange fuel systems with the 85, and re-sell the 2wd for the same, if not more, than you paid for it
