You'd have to check your state laws...as every state differs on the legality of tinting a vehicle.

AFAIK, tinting the entire front windshield is illegal in every state. As far as the strip is concerned, it differs from state to state.

You have to be careful with a black vehicle though...they tend to make the tint look darker than it really is.

Yeah, that's why they can charge more.

To get my entire truck tinted, it was $400.00. The front windshield alone was a $100. Definitely worth every penny

Agreed on the white.

A buddy of mine had an F-150 that was a very light silver. He had every piece of glass, including the entire front windshield tinted 20%. You could stand right in front of his truck in broad daylight and still not see him. He also got ticketed 2wks after having it done. He learned his lesson...don't go to dark on the front windshield w/ a light colored car.

Oh I work at a auto detailer and I asked our tinter and he said in AZ if you have a medical condition "skin cancer" you can tint ur windsheild, and tint front windows as dark as you want. So go get a doctors note and go crazy, Oh and move to AZ.

California has the same thing, but from what I hear it's pretty hard to get that to fly in court. I knew the son of a dermatologist years ago who was VERY fair skinned, guy put on sunscreen for a walk to the mailbox, and had a doctors note (from another doc, not his dad) saying he needed additional sun protection and it didnt work....

Yikes. Is that just blistering from a sunburn? Worst I've seen, and I work at a lake and see fried people all the time.
