My chain broke and ripped apart my front left speed sensor for my antilock braking system. My question was do I need to buy an OEM replacement or does it matter if I buy a general or aftermarket sensor. Will there be any issues with the aftermarket relaying information?
Aftermarket 20-40 bucks
OEM 165 bucks

Just a big difference

I definitely know some OEM parts are essential. Not sure about these sensors?

 

 

I think you are right "decent". Looking more into it I think the 90 dollar option is a better replacement. I'm going that route. The others do not look exactly like mine does.

I got one from the junkyard, the connector for it isn't far from the sensor.

 

I'll let you know how it works. I chickened out and spent 20 bucks. I hope to have the part in by the end of the week and I'll let you know.
