front running lights and dash lights

For some reason the other day my front running lights stopped working. Then yesterday my dash lights wouldn't come on. I rarely drive at night so it may have happened before , but I just noticed this week.

Any suggestions on what to check or look for to fix these? Where are the fuses for the dash and the front running lights. Thanks for any help.

By the way this is a 97 4runner SR5.

Thanks,..Bryan

One fuse box is under the hood and one is behind the driver side kick panel, they both should have labels as to which fuse is which.

thanks guys,

I'll start there. What could cause them to blow? A short in the wiring somewhere? If so where would be some common places to look? I haven't done any electrical type upgrades like lights or stereo equipment.

Thanks again, Bryan
