Front Coil Over Shock Removal 97 4runner

Hey guys, I got a 97 4runner that I'm trying to take out the front coil over shock assembly to replace with a set I got from a buddy that already has a 2in. spacer installed. Sounds easy enough, however...

The three nuts that are on top of the assembly will not come out. I have all three of them broke loose but the studs that they are on are now spinning everytime I try to turn the nut. I've placed vice grips on the studs to try to get them to stop spinning but they didnt work.

Other than cutting them off (which i dont have the tools to do) anyone have any ideas or have this happen to them as well?

Nice good thinking! I just did mine and the shocks were blown but the bolts didn't break free like yours!
