Where is it at? Don't tell me on the drivers door pillar either - it is not on there I have 4 85-89 trucks sitting here and not a damn one has a paint code on its little plaque. Toyota had like 12 shades of red back then too - and obcourse the truck i am painting now is one of those shades.

... the VIN plates for vehicles prior to 1989 is located in the engine compartment (on the firewall).

 

well its on the drivers door jam on the metal ID card you need to find C/TR after that is the code

 

Mine is located on in the engine bay, dead center on the firewall

Thats only good for 94-05 and the prices are really high compared to my local auto paint store.
