Replacing my intake b/c the last owner of my 2002 tacoma pre-runner did a hack job on the intake to make it go fast. Well. while replacing the intake I noticed a significant hold (almost fit my pinky into) above the filter! Not too stoked about it, but the question is, so if this engine has been eating small amounts of dust for who knows how long, is there anything I can do? Is it all caught in the oil? Should I check certain components (MAF, etc) to ensure they haven't gotten messed up?

Did he do a deckplate mod or something, and hacked it up?

Id just use some bondo or something to plug it up instead of buying a whole new one.
