Fog Light - internal cleaning Micro DE

Fog Light - internal cleaning Micro DE
If I'm correct, the stock fog lights on my '99 SR5 TRD are Hella Micro DE. An oveall OK foglight, when clean.
Well, mine have awesomely poor performance. To the point, when I turn them on, there is a barely perceptable difference in light output on the road with my headlights on.
So, I took a closer look at the lenses from the outside after a quick rinse. I could see that the interior was dirty.
Here is where the project started - pics will follow. I took both lights off, and began dissassembling and cleaning each part. In the process I found that salt and 120Kmiles are not a friend of small phillips screws. I had to drill out 5 of 6 screws in total that hold the backing on.
In any case, when I reached the innards, I found that the seal that is supposed to seal around the cable doesn't do a great job, as a lot of debris reached the reflector and lenses.
I cleaned and polished the lense and reflector, clened all the crud from the housing, installed new 55W H3 bulbs, and siliconed everthing up.
The result is a huge improvement. I'll post pics of the process. Unfortunately, I'll have to buy new housings because I broke the rusty screws in the process, but since I was at it, I took some pics.

Tried to replace my fog bulbs yesterday and found that those screws are no joke to take off!
Not sure if using WD-40 or some type of penetrating lubricant will help. Already stripped the screws on the left side housing.
Toyota quotes $452.14 for each fog housing. Jason's fogs are looking like a deal at this point.

I've been meaning to replace the one of mine that has a broken lens --- unfortunately, it still works so i haven't got around to doing it yet. Any pics that you can take that show which screws drop the light assembly from the bracket would be appriciated - i looked a couple of times and couldn't figure out how to get them off and just haven't gotten back to it.
