Here's my clip! It sounds pretty much the same in the clip as it does in real life.

This is a cold start. I'll get a warm start later this afternoon.

i just got my flow 50 installed, but went with a tip at the end of the stock pipe instead of a turndown and it sounds awesome!! I had the muffler guys test a flow 50, magnaflow 18", and a magnaflow 14". The magnaflows were really quiet at startup but you could def hear it when revving, but i liked the flowmaster it had more volume, nice tone but not ridiculous either. Its great.

I have the 40 Delta series..it sounds awesome but sometimes i wish it was a little quieter when shifting through gears. Eventually I'm going to replace it with a 50 Delta series or a 24" Magnaflow.
huh, i wish my 40 delta flow was louder.......

Yep. Thats the one I'm getting. My friend's Frontier sounds more ricey than that in person and typically exhuasts sound ricier on videos. Can't decide if I want single out or dual out. Which would sound better?

Nate, If it matters to you, single out will have a 50% less chance of getting smashed when wheeling. Why risk it? Also much easier/cheaper to reroute.
Dual pipes are meant for mall runners.

Hearing 50 series clips from SC4runner definitely sounds deeper than my 40 delta but almost sounds louder. It's pretty hard to determine since audio clips have so many variables...distance of recording, environment it was recorded in, and the type of device being used; cell phone, camera, camcorder, etc.
From what i can tell though, the 50 sounds promising IF it's not louder.

SC, what 50 version do you have? centered/offset/delta/SUV....?

Then consider the OG 40 series. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/40_orig.html
If your interested, I have a brand new one that i might be willing to part with.

The sound i get from my 40 delta when shifting through 1-2-3 and/or getting on the go-pedal can at times be a little bit irritating....especially when driving through "quite" neighborhoods. The tone sounds great but sometimes it becomes louder than I want to hear.
On the plus side, I don't experience any drone and the interior volume is hardly noticeable when cruising freeway speeds. All of my exhaust pipe is bone stock.

x2 on the chance of bangin up the duals wheelin..sucks when you pay coin for nice chrome tips and end up smashin them up on a nice day of slinging mud. Gotta tell ya though Vortex is hella loud and ya definately need to keep the rpms right on freeway or there is a little drone, but I'm usually bumpin beats. I'm sure my neighbors hate me--they can hear when I come and go, lol. I say Flowmaster over Magnaflow for tone.

I'm pretty sure that it is the Delta 50, offset to one side.

The difference maker was the turn-down pipe. I had the stock pipe on it for about a year or so, then I crushed it wheeling. So I took a saw-zall and cut the tail pipe off. It got REALLY loud, and obnoxious. The turn down mellowed it out a tad, since the sound was pointed downwards, rather than out directly into my neighbors front yard

I've heard the 40's. They sound different, and I actually like the sound a lot! The 50 is supposed to be mellower, but, I agree it does sound a little deeper.
