Hey, how's it going? Whenever im crusin around going over speed bumps, a little on the faster side, or going over obstacles i notice that my emergency brake light turns on. It turns on for only a quick second, depending on how bad im jumping around. I checked the brake lever, and its tight, its not loose or anything. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

 

Check your brake fluid level. As your pads wear, the level of the fluid in the reservior also drops to push the thinner pads against the caliper/shoes against the drum.

It is likely as simple as topping it off. When was the last time the brakes were checked?

 

low brake fluid will cause that.

Yep, almost positive it's brake fluid. Mine was doing the same thing a few weeks ago and I topped it off and haven't had a problem since.

 

Awite ill check the brake fluid..The brakes havent been changed probably more than 1500 miles...i drove the truck up from texas to minnesota. That would have been the last time. Thank you
