Fixed the brake prob!! now i got a "clunk"

well, i'd bee having probs with the front brakes on my 99 tacoma (v6 4x4 202k on it). they were hanging and would get tighter and tighter at slow speeds. changed the master cylinder and that fixed the prob.

well, now i got a new old problem. a year ago i started noticing a "clunk" when i engaged the brakes. this would occur after putting the truck in reverse or.... after reversing for a bit, when i place the truck in drive. i'm 99% sure it's not the drive train ie u-joint or pinion gears. doesnt happen when i change from drive to reverse......... only after i've gone some distance and applied the brakes. and only happens when i changed directions. this problem has returned after changing the mc. i'm sure it's coming from the front.

from the searching i've done there seems to be a couple of possible answers, but after checking my front brakes everything is solid. i've never experienced a pad slipping, or had any probs with the slide pins. anyone else?

has anyone else that's had this problem found a solution?

thanx all for looking!
