Been checking out the site, pretty cool. I allways use to check the tech section over the past few years. But never the BB.

My last rig was a 84-4runner dd weekend warrior.
My current dd is a rusty 87 4runner.
Im tearing apart a 90 extra cab(ill try to get some tech up on it maybe even start a thread if people are interested)

I figure I'd start a build up here

To make a long story short about a year ago I sold my 84 4runner for something less rusty. I bought a 90 extra cab with a new engine. I stuipedly bought it with only looking at pictures but I wanted a southern truck. From the pictures I thought I would only have to tweak a few things. However I don't like the way most of it was built.

Well the PO flat out told me the bobed bed was crap. I planned on ethier a replacement of flatbed. Being in the NE, i couldn't find a thing so I am going with a flatbed. Next in line is the rear suspention. Had 2 leaf 63"s with double shackel and 3" lift blocks, rearend was moved back an estimated 3-4"s. The pinion angle was negitive. The axle wrap was so bad when you stepped on it the helper springs would come inchs from the ground.

What did I do wrong? no thumnails?

anyways. I moved the tank, between the framerails because I also moved the rearend further up. I used 400psi soft tranmission line, as well as doubled up efi hose clamps. Hardest part was getting it to sit level.
I bought new springs from JCW, and sky's kit. Got that all welded in.

Mostly finshed. I haven't desided which shocks I want yet. I'm thinking BBCS-15's. Picking up my shortened driveshaft tomorrow.
