Cool First post

Hi all,

Well, it's my first post here and I would like to say thanks to Corey's website for getting me here. I'm also registered at 4x4 trailtalk and I would say that this site is very informational. I've got a 99 4Runner SR5 4WD and si far modifications I did was Bilsteins all around, Manik gril guard with PIAA 520 MSR's, deckplate mod and extended the diff breathers. I'm looking forward to getting more ideas in making my rig more capable in the boonies, even though there's not a lot of places to wheel here in northeast florida. I'll post a pic as soon as I figure out how to. I've got an account with imagestation and I have all the pics in there. Thanks.

George

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome guys. I really appreciate the help I'll be getting here with regards to 4Runner andToyota vehicles in general. Infact, I will be buying new tires in a couple of weeks as soon as I make up my mind on which type/brand I'm buying. I'd already narrowed it down between BFG all-Terrains or Michelin Crossterrain. Any inputs/opinions are welcome. Thanks.

hey man whats up. as far as the tires go... i personally like BFG's but you dont see many michelin's around here, everyone has BFG's it seems. i think you should be able to fit some 31's or 32's without any rubbing. goodluck... and the new exhaust is a good idea. just talking about this stuff makes me wish i had some more money to spend. :pat: haha see ya

I wouldn't put Micelins on my enemy's rig. Theyre living on reputation when they used to build tires, BFG Looks nice, but what about digging performance, is this a hiway rig or what? If you're goin off road look at Yokohoma Geolander M/T or Trailbuster M & S for some serious traction. I don't see why everyone shells out the big $ for BFG. Bridgestone also has some real nice tires if you can afford them.

I work in a tire shop and see a lot of tires that really earn their living, and yes the BFG's look nice, and have decent traction, but are they really wotrth the extra $, I don't think so.

Hi! Welcome to our board. It is good to have you. I have PIAA 520 fog lights and love them, on my Manik Grille Guard. I love it. But a ? for you, what does the MSR stand for? I have been trying to figure it out, but can't. I am guessing that it has something to do with the lens. :fireman:
