Thanks man! And no, no Diff Lock, thats the only downside to it but I had been lookin for a long time and this was the best one that I had seen so I jumped on it.

I plan to add a rear locker a few mods down the list once I get it...

GOT IT! Went up to Springfield today to pick it up from a man named Billy-Bob Jones...I'm serious. Needless to say, I'm glad I got the Runner out of there when I did, whew.

Drove it the whole 2 hour way home with no problems and amazing power!!!! This was a shock to me, I could give it gas and get to 80 and not even know it...with my old runner it took JUST a little bit more. lol.

Either way, its here, its semi cleaned up from the journey here and its in my garage (this one actually fits, the 2nd gen didnt)

I took pics of it up against my old runner and I will have those up shortly, I have to reduce them quite a bit.

Anyway, I am now the official owner of a 3rd gen and I love it!!

I do have a few questions though, but those will come later, now its back to reality...I have a paper to write.

Later guys!

Congrats man! Looks like you have a nice and clean blank canvas on your hands.

Any idea what the first mod will be?

Probably some PIAA Super White bulbs for headlights and foglights and then it'll probably be a system. I can't live without my system, although the stock stereo in that thing is pretty dang nice!

I've got the pics off the camera now I just gotta get em down to size.

Here are some shots I took today comparing the two Runners. I tried to compress all of the pictures but I couldn't get them down below 48kb. What do you guys use to compress pictures?

This picture shows one of the questions I have, what is this for? I haven't taken it off but I am guessing it gives access to a tow hook? Am I right?

Yup. If you hook up a recovery strap to the tow hook then the bumper gets in the way when pulled taut, that little piece comes out to reduce/eliminate touching.

edit: damn I got beat...

Sweet I was right...Now I just gotta figure out how to get that piece to fit flush with the bumper.

OK, here is my list of other questions.

1) Do any of you other 3rd genners experience pretty bad shifter feedback while just doing normal driving? (i.e., 4WD shifter has a lot of vibration, transmission shifter moves a good 1/2 inch when I hit a big enough bump)

2) There is a window button on my remote to remotely control the rear window, neither remotes work for this function, is there something wrong with the receiver or is there some sort of shut off for this function?

3) The timing belt is "supposed to be replaced at 90k", is this BS or should I go ahead and shell out the cash? I've heard some of them go around 95 and some of them go around 120k? Is going to ruin anything else if it breaks as I'm driving other than my pride having to wait on the side of the road for a tow truck?

4) What other things should be done as part of a 90K service? Other than the obvious oil and air filter stuff?

Thats about it for now! Thanks for all the help guys, I love the new rig!!!

I think that's normal. Though mine vibrates less than half an inch like you said. It still vibrates though.

2) There is a window button on my remote to remotely control the rear window, neither remotes work for this function, is there something wrong with the receiver or is there some sort of shut off for this function?

Try replacing the battery on your remote. I thought mine was broke but it was a battery going dead. It's about $5 from the dealer.

I'll be replacing the timing belt on mine when I get to 90K or when I get back from Japan 3 years from now. Nothing is going to be ruined when the timing belts break since the 3.4 is a non-interference engine

4) What other things should be done as part of a 90K service? Other than the obvious oil and air filter stuff?

http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/index.php. Just plug in the required info and it'll tell you the maintenance required.

Thats about it for now! Thanks for all the help guys, I love the new rig!!!

Nice rig by the way.
