Fender Flares for a 99 4runner.

Just got my new 4runner, and I'm about to start getting some of the cheaper odds and ends. It has the chrome fender flares and the steps along the sides with chrome strip. These came factory. I want to get the wide black plastic/rubber fender flares and some aftermarket off road heavy duty rails/steps on the sides. I want it to look more sporty and less luxury, if that makes any sense.

Anyone know where I can get good quality fender flares? I know some 4runners came with the big black fender flares out of the factory, so I can probably still get them from a toyota dealer parts department, but are those the best? Is there others you'd recommend? Also, about rails/rock slides on the sides, what would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Bushwacker makes flares. Sliders are made by other companies, or custom by a local guy who failed out of plumbing college and bought a welder . Sliders are just pipes.

I have the Bushwackers and they do give that Limited look but they are just a shade thinner than a stock Limited's flares but only to 4Runner geeks like us.

I had them painted and they mimic Toyota's OEM pieces pretty nicely. You will or at least should add some mudflaps as you'll still throw crap all over the truck without them.

Nope, but they do fit jeep wranglers pretty well....
(sorry, just HAD to say it...)

go here: http://www.bushwacker.com/search_fender.asp and select SUV and the model year for the flare products for your rig.

Bushwacker flares are eassy to install. All you need is a fdrill and rivit tool. Get custom sliders. Do a search on yotatech!
