This is my first posting. Where can I buy new Toyota seat covers? My SR5 has that gray velour seating. Well....my 4 yr old manages to spill half of what she eats, drinks, vomits, etc. I may sell her to the circus for 20 bucks. My wife is almost as bad.

Anyways, can I buy replacement seat covers? Not something that goes over the existing seats, but the original sand-paper velour that it currently has. I have considered taking them off & soaking them in oxyclean for a while, but the stains have already set.

Any help is greatly appreciated !

you should be able to take em into an upholstry shop and get them reupholstered in the same or very similar material...why not go with aftermarket seat covers like wet okoles that will protect your seats and you can just pull em off and wash em...wet okoles are waterproof too?

 

Too bad you're not near Tijuana. Upholstery is their middle name and alot of the shops do a GREAT JOB for half the cost of here in the states. You drop it off with one you have researched and pick it up alot of times the same day if you've dropped it in the am. If not just stay the night in a nice hotel.

In lieu of that though you can find the factory covers on ebay alot.

I have bought two sets from him they look and fit great and they don't look like seat covers.

I might still have the old factory cloth seat covers when i switched mine with leather. It's gray in color and from a 01 sport edition

These guys did the leather in my '05 Tacoma. It rocks!

Leather cleans better than fabric, and resists wearing better.

After all this talk, I simply removed the OEM seat covers and threw them in the washer. The back seat bottoms were a cinch. I haven't tried the others. You have to be careful when washing, however.

The underside of the cover has some attachments that are made of cheesecloth.

I filled the washer to the highest level, used a cup of liquid detergent and 1/4 cup of oxyclean and let it soak for 4 hours. Make sure you set the washer to "gentle".

Next, I'll attack the front seat bottoms. This is a great way to renew your seat covers. However, I don't know how many washings they will sustain before falling apart. It's the kind of maintenance I would recommend every 3-5 years.

I looked through all the available covers to match an 89 w/SR5 bucket seats but I can't seem to find the code that that matches the factory color setup.

 

Wet okoles by far!! Best mod you'll do to your rig...atleast protection wise! Nothing gets through those things!
