OK, heres the situation. My dad just bought a 2004 Sequoia in Phanton Grey with the 17 inch gunmetal rims ...i asked the stealership to install remote start b/c they said something about it being done aftermarket would void the warranty? Well the lady on the phone said it would be just like the viper remote start and everything would be dandy. Well of course its not. We got the remote start back and there were no sensors around the car to prevent intrusion(we had previously asked them to install them). Second, there was no way to turn it off, once it was started. And third, there was no way you could use the keyless entry when the car is started. So we took it back and they installed something else that turned it off when it was started. But still no way to get into the car using the keyless and still no sensors. And also they gave us TWO remotes to work one damn thing...WTF???? Does anyone know whether it is possible for them to install remote start while being able to use the keyless? and whether they have it on one damn remote?? sorry for the ranting, I hate driving 30 min just to get something done half assed.

An aftermarket alarm won't void your warranty as a whole. I say get it done right and get what you REALLY want!

 

I have a viper alarm with remote start...I am able to use keyless entry and shut it off.....One remote.
