One of my buddies in the states told me last time I talked to him that he heard there was a recall on the 94's rear coils! This sounds too good to be true. Is he full of crap or what? Has anyone else heard this or can someone who has their dealer on speed dial give em a call and see for me? Not too many dealers that sell American Runners here in the UK

 

There was a recall on the 96-98 rear coilshere in the states, I think everyone in that bracket on the board had it done by the stealers, Not sure about 94's.

 

I would like to know also, why 3rd Gens. and not 2nd Gens. when they sag too.:confused:

 

The recall doesnt have to do anything with the coils sagging I dont believe.

 

I searched the NHTSA website (www.nhtsa.gov) and I couldn't find any suspension related recalls or special bulletins for a 94 or 93. I think it's probably a rumor.

That's true - the recall dealt with poor handling under load while making a sharp turn. It also only applied to 2WD's, but they recalled all 4WD as well to avoid confusion.
