Well I spent my holiday weekend under the 4Runner. I installed my TRD headers and exhaust. Boy I'm tellin' ya what a project that turned out to be. I never figured that a factory designed system could be such a project. But, I have to say that I am really pleased with it. I have to do a little tweeking on the position of the cat but on the whole it appears to be working as expected. I got lucky because I did not have any exhaust leaks but then again I coted everything with copper seal. It appears as though the flange welded to the exhaust tube that connects to the back side of the cat was turned slightly and that is what is causing my cat to be out of alignment. The one corner of the heat shield appears to be resting on the cross member. Like I said I will have to do some tweeking. Even though there were a lot of curse words said in the process I enjoyed the work. Comments are welcome for things that I might have done wrong or things that I need to look for.
